flyhi 24 #1 October 30, 2001 Just wondered if any has any input on the Ground Zero Canopies from Precision Aerodynamics. They have some killer deal listed in Skydiving about send them an old canopy and you get half off a new Ground Zero. I assume that means on the Xaos, Nitron, Synergy, or Fusion. The only write-up under the Gear Section is from a guy who really loved the Xaos 21. He was loading it about 2:1 and commented on lighter riser tension than his FX. Haven't seen anything on price or delivery yet.Good company? Reliable company? Stand behind their product company? Skydivers or businessmen (and I don't have a problem with skydivers making a profit on a good product)? Just looking for data on the canopies, company or deal. Homer: Oh, everything's too damned expensive these days. This bible cost 15 bucks! And talk about a preachy book! Everybody's a sinner! Except this guy. flyhi
PhreeZone 20 #2 October 30, 2001 Last I heard, the deal was only for the Ground Zero canopies that are currently for sale. That would be The Xaos 21, Nitron, and I think the Synergy. The Nitron is the same canopy as a Nitro that is made in Germany. As far as the company goes, its a great company that stands behind their work. I'm willing to bet they've saved more skydivers then almost any other company with their Raven series reserves.Give George a call and talk to him about his products. I understand he running this promo as an introduction thing only so if you are seroius, place your order soon. The trade in canopy does not have to be air worthy either. (Great chance to trade that olf conical in for a new main)A rainy day at the DZ is better then a Sunny day at work
Kirils 1 #3 October 30, 2001 A marketing stunt like this just "fixes" the real price people will pay for the canopy. After they sell a bunch for $1100.00who would be willing to pay $1900.00 for one. Precision may be shooting themselves in the foot.Skydiving is not a static excercise with discrete predictability...
prost 0 #4 October 31, 2001 I disagree with your opinion on the pricing. After this deal is over i would expect the selling price to go to the same price as an FX. The list price is $3 more than the FX. If you want one I would suggest getting it while the getting is good.
