faitor 0 #1 July 12, 2001 This may be a good question for you cobaltdan, but anyone who knows please tell me. After hearing so many good things by all of you online, I want to know more about the Cobalt. I am thinking about getting a one. The problem is that I have written to Atair three times in the past two days. I received one reply on my first try and they didn't answer my questions. They told me to see the web site for info. I looked all over and couldn't find any of the answers. Those questions follow. What sizes do the Cobalts come in?What are the pack volumes of those sizes? What are the weight limits? Thanks for the help. cobaltdan 0 #2 July 12, 2001 hi faitor,65,75,85,95,105,120,135,150,170 and pack sizes are equal to stillettos.btw this info is posted on the web siteas far as weight limits if you are referring to max weight we have tested the canopies, it far exceeds any harness system available. a more usefull question is max recommended weight for your skill level. if you call me at the office i would be more than glad to discuss proper loading with you.sincerely, dan atair www.extremefly.comps. we get almost 100 email per day. sometimes it takes several days to reply. if you have an urgent question please call. thanks. SkymonkeyONE 4 #3 July 13, 2001 A little more info that Dan did not cover which you may be wondering about:A Cobalt 95 will fit in the the smallest Javelin (or any other container) made, which is an RS, but it is very tight; an RS+1 would be smarter. An 85 is a perfect "snug" fit in an RS, a 75 fits very easily and a 65 fits loosely but not sloppy. Not sure if that helps you out at all, but I figured I would throw it in.Chuck
cobaltdan 0 #4 July 14, 2001 hey chuck,i jump a rs +1 as i am pretty tall.my 95 is a medium firmness pack in it.gary roth jumps a rs with an 85 cobalt and complained once it was soft pack.he told me he was going to get his next rig a rs -1....?btw i have packed a cobalt 120 on several ocasions in my rs +1.wont make your packer happy but not that big a deal.sincerely, dan
