FliegendeWolf 0 #1 September 1, 2002 Whenever I read the forum posts from my girlfriend's Mac, the forum marks all of the posts as read after I log out, even if I didn't actually read each post. When I logout of the forums from other computers, it marks the read messages correctly. Is there something I need to adjust on the Mac to make this work? I'm something of a PC guy, so I don't know my way around Macs too well.A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

sangiro 26 #3 November 1, 2002 Yeah...probably... I suspect you'll have to buy your girlfriend a PC! Actually, I don't know the reason for this. Not a high priority for me at this time but I'll look into it. It has to do have something to do with the way the MAC handles cookies. ernokaikkonen 0 #4 November 1, 2002 This has happened to me more than once, and I've only been using PC's. I'm using Opera 6.05 at the moment. I think it most often happens when I do the following: -I leave a window open(at Talkback for example) when I close the browser -Then start the browser again, the same page gets loaded but I'm not logged in -I log in, to find out that there are no new posts There have been a few other times the posts have been marked read without me reading them. I'll try to keep an eye open for when this happens.
