Suggestion: Recent Thread List

Hi,

On other forums ive been on, they have a link which takes you to a forum that contains posts from ALL the other forums in most recent order (up to a max of 10 pages worth). This way, people can just browse this forum and see all forums posts as they are posted. I think this would be great on this site simply because there are multiple forums and they take alot of browsing! I would suggest this forum not be setup like a normal forum i.e. cannot post to it so that it is only popultated by posts from other forums - if you know what I mean!?

Would it really be useful to have a page that contians all the French, Russian and Spanish threads mixed in with the politics of Speakers Corner, the welcomings of Intro threads and the Women only fourms?

Having the forums clearly seperated allowed people to have two types of posting behaivor. The "Community" forums are where one liners, jokes, and politics are allowed. The "Topical" forums are meant to be far more serious and are to be where questions can be asked and not get a "LOL - Thats funny!" reponse. Having them seperate allows people to have the correct posting style for the correct area. Mixing the threads up by combining them into a single page will then have a lot of one liners appearing in the Topical forums since people don't realize they are not in the Bonfire anymore.

Would it be better to have an option to "mark" threads of some sort to make it easy to have a reference of what threads you want to follow along with as they go on? Or would something like a seperate page of "Recent Threads" where you have posted into the thread or started it make more sense?

I see what your saying. I guess there is alot broader a range of forums on here than on other Forums!!

What I am getting at, is that from my point of view, I think there will be alot of threads I would like to read but dont know they exist!! For example, the only board I visit is the General Skydiving board. I think this is because im still a beginner and I dont fully know what areas I want to read about (all of them!) so would be good to see a brief snapshot or something of threads in the majority of boards.

Is it possible to "subscribe" to a board, and have all thread titles emailed to me or something?
