SkydiveNFlorida 0 #1 August 6, 2004 I like to browse the classifieds to see how things are valued. It has become more tedius since the new block on the left has been added. This has made the subject catagory compressed and now read more vertically, than horizontally. It was more reader-friendly before. I think it might be helpful if you could collapse the new block on the left in order to expand the actual ads horizontally so that they may be viewed easier. ... Alternativly, tabs could be added to the top and the bar on the left done away with. (was that how it was before). maybe jmo? Great site, thanks! AggieDave 6 #2 August 7, 2004 You could widen your browser window to make it more of a horizontal read. That's what I did, it works like a champ.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

I have the same feelings, but didn't want to take the time to write it out. THanks!!! I agree, I liked it the way it was before. Changing browser settings is a no go... sangiro 26 #4 August 7, 2004 I'll look into this. I guess there are more people with low-resolution screens left that I had hoped. 1024x768 and above should have had no no issues. 800x600 users will have had problems with it being squashed up. There will come a point when I start designing for a minimum of 1024x768.... not too far inot the future from now... Safe swoops Sangiro

Well, HH, that has pretty much surpassed 800x600 as the standard in web design. The 800x600 "standard" has been since what, 1995 or 1996 or so?--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

AggieDave 6 #7 August 9, 2004 Well, at 1280x1024 its perfectly fine, infact I leave my browser window much smaller then my screen size and it works well.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

I will look at some options to allow users to remove some of the default fields in the tables to create more space on the screen for the essential information.Safe swoops Sangiro

I don't know, I don't think i'd want to remove fields, just that bar/column on the left (manage ads, etc). I actually liked it better when you could see the sellers name. I don't trust buying from anyone I haven't heard from, and that helped to weed out b4 clicking. But, hey, your site, and you'll do as you please and should not have to change if you really don't want to. Just a suggestion, I figured other people probably had the same problem. I still glance at the classifieds, albeit not nearly as often. thx Angela
