RevJim 0 #1 January 30, 2003 Well, OK, juzst one. I love how the link in the forums to the "Full profile" brings up a pop up window. Tis is great, since I need not punch the back button to get back to where I was, or lose my place. Do you think it would be possible to do the same for the "Short profile" links? It's your life, live it! Do try to pay attention, Jim. HH has said in the thread about the change to the full profile that the two profiles are soon to be converted to one. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

I change the suggestion to ask: When the profiles are merged into one single profile, please keep the link as a pop up. Thank you,It's your life, live it! TomAiello 26 #5 January 30, 2003 Second what RevJim said. I often like to have the original posting and the profile on the screen at the same time, and the back button doesn't help that. You can do it by opening a second window and re-finding everything, but a pop-up is much handier.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
AggieDave 6 #6 January 30, 2003 From my side, I hold the opposite to be true, I'd rather not have a popup. It takes a single keystroke for me to go back to the page I was at, where as with a popup it takes me 3 to close the window. (I tend to not use a mouse a whole lot, just a whole bunch of memorized shortcut keys).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." TomAiello 26 #7 January 30, 2003 Weird. I guess I don't have a good grasp on navigation on various systems. For me it's two keys simultaneously (Command-W) to close the pop-up, two for a "back" (Command-[) or a mouse action for either.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
Lolie 0 #8 January 30, 2003 On some computers, the backspace key takes you back. I don't have a good grasp on navigation on various systems, either, but back to the original request--on some of the systems I use, holding down the shift key while I click on a link brings that page up in a new window.
