How about adding a timezone-offset field in the userprofile so that when we post, the post time and the local time will show up.
Would be interesting to know when people post. Middel of the nigh, early morning....

Almost everyone posts at work. Was there something else you wanted to know?:P

All you have to do is click on "Who's Online" and you can see that. Of course, it only works well if the user has fixed the time offset in his/her profile.
