Advanced filters in e-mail

I set my e-mail advanced filter to send spam to a special spam folder I set up, and nothing has ever been sent there. Plus, I'm getting more and more spam every day. Any other suggestions?

Yes, the dropzone e-mail. HH told me to set up my Advanced Filter like that, but it's either not working, or I did something wrong. He usually tells me the problem is on my end and not his end.

Okay, finally getting back to you on this. I haven't been getting too much spam but this is how I set my "Advanced Filter" and it took me a couple days to see if it would work.

Field: If Subject
Match: is like
Text: *spam*
Action: then Send To
Folder: Trash
Case Sensative: No

I should point out that I used to have the action set to "delete" and I saw no spam, but I didn't know if my wildcard setting would cause a problem with other peoples email.
