nacmacfeegle 0 #1 October 30, 2002 Something that annoys me sometimes. People post, others reply, then whilst compiling their replies, or shortly afterwards, the original post is edited so that it does not resemble its first form. This either confuses people reading subsequent posts or renders replies meangless Is it possible to keep the changed text, eg if it were 'scored out' or something similar? I think you green people can see edited text, so you guys know what I am on about. This may force people to read their own posts and be more careful with what they say.... sangiro 26 #2 October 30, 2002 Doesn't this defeat the purpose of editing a post? (There are lots of other things the greenies can do and see that you can't! ) Safe swoops Sangiro
nacmacfeegle 0 #3 October 30, 2002 (There are lots of other things the greenies can do and see that you can't!) Och I know, its a good way to suss the mischief, such as invisible text, ISP details, etc etc etc. Its not just Segador who sees everythingWhich is why I thought it would be an easy thing to implement... I'm not talking about correkting speling erors here, I'm more hacked off by people who say something, then a couple of minutes later change the whole meaning of their post, rendering subsequent replies usless... Or maybe I'm making a big thing out of nothing. You choose guv'nor, its your hoose.... -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.
