chrisnorton 0 #1 October 22, 2001 This account I'm using on dropzone.com receives an unaceptable amount of SPAM each day. For other accounts with POP access, I use a filter in MS Outlook that dumps 99.95% of SPAM to my trash can so I don't even have to look at it in my Inbox. If we could have a similar filter here it would be great but the current filter feature doesn't allow me to replicate what I use in Outlook.Quite simply, my Outlook filter deletes every email that comes to me unless my email address appears in the TO: or CC: fields. Yes, this will delete email sent to me where my email address was placed in the BCC field. (In Outlook, I have a rule exception set up to handle that since I only receive BCC emails from a certain domain, but that's another story.)Is it be possible to enhance the current email filter feature to delete email we receive when our email address doesn't appear in either the TO: or CC fields? I can live with deleting an occasional BCC email. What I can't live with is 30+ junk emails per week.- Chris
sangiro 26 #2 November 9, 2001 Chris,This current set of scripts has pretty weak filter functionality. The upgrade (which I will now start working on after the server move) should enable you to do a lot more. Also, I will start implmenting "spam control" at the server level now that I have control over my own server. Keep the faith.Safe swoopsSangiro
