timpearson 0 #1 May 11, 2001 under the equipment section of the new "a" license proficiency card, what is "demonstrate inspection, donning, use and general maintenance of all equipment to be used on the jump"--i'm just wondering which equipment, and what is donning..... Donna 0 #3 May 11, 2001 Donning means putting on. Basically it sounds like it means that you can do a gear check (3 handles, pins, AAD, 3 rings, RSL, etc.) and put it all (rig, helmet, goggles, altimeter, water gear etc.) on properly and know how maintain everything. PalmettoTiger 1 #4 May 11, 2001 Ground poisoning -- that's great!! I have 3 new skydiving terms from this week: ground poisoning, cock check, and hump loading. Must... use... at DZ... this weekend.... Blues, squares,PTiger
SkymonkeyONE 4 #5 May 11, 2001 The equipment in question is everything you need to skydive: rig, helmet, altimeter, etc. It means you can turn your Cypres on. It means you don't put your goggles on upside down. Donning simply means "to put something on". All that criteria should, obviously, have been met in the FJC.Chuck
