Bodyflight.Net 0 #1 October 21, 2005 I need costume ideas...who better to ask than those who fly!!Need a new costume and have only a week to put it together, and I don't think I'm alone either on this one.. maybe others will benefit too! So on the list of possibles are the following... a freefly clown air police witch ghost I'd like it based around flying obviously!! I can wear just about anything but the base of the outfit needs to be somewhat warm or at least sweatpants & a sweatshirt.. I can have any props I want and I need to be able to create it all at home....any other ideas??? or ideas on how I can build these costumes fairly easily??? Added: the event I'm talking about is NEXT Saturday at the open air wind tunnel (no walls), no roof, no floor, nuthing but a big net outside.. if that helps you imagine the setting
 flyangel2 2 #2 October 21, 2005 My vote is for the ghost.
 n23x 0 #25 October 28, 2005 It's a one piece suit, like they make for little kids that have the padded feet and hands. We got the pattern for it at a fabric store as well as all the material. The pattern initially called for a hoodie separate of the rest of the costume, but my girlfriend helped me make it one piece. The tail was detachable for reduced-horseshoe issues. It definately took us a couple of fittings to get the whole thing nice and snug and get the booties to fit as well, but it now fits as good (maybe a little better than) my RW suit. We tapered the front of the hoodie down a bit and made it snug so it would stay in place in freefall. The really suprising thing about this suit was how much it slowed my fallrate, even though it fits the same as my other RW suit. The girl I jump with is normally pretty floaty on me, and with this suit, I was really working to stay down with her, so that was an interesting effect of the furry material. PM me if you need any more details. .jim"Don't touch my fucking Easter eggs, I'll be back monday." ~JTFC
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later. Bodyflight.Net 0 #24 October 26, 2005 Hiya RatBoy.. it'll be good to meet ya! I hear your group is coming dressed as a 4-way team just kiddin'... it'll be great to meet you all! I've settled on the Clown idea.. it's just TOO easy to do! I've got a bright orange sweatshirt, which I will wear over my suit which is purple & green (see avatar) with a big polka dot belt I think.. Got the wig.. gonna use these funky tubular framed goggles (I got during TFTC), red tennis shoes, a little face paint around the mouth... multicolor wig over or under the helmet, not sure which yet! White gloves... a noisemaker, whistle, silly string, water pistol and a smily face bubble necklace!!! I should make a good clown, I'm mostly silly anyway Thanks for all the good ideas... n23x 0 #25 October 28, 2005 It's a one piece suit, like they make for little kids that have the padded feet and hands.
