Wind Tunnel in Colorado

Forgive me if I'm panting the first few times I see you - gonna take some time to adjust to the higher altitude!

Grande no water chai works on Derek (hooknswoop), I'm sure it would be enough to get him to hook you up with some nitrox. (higher O2 content than normal air)

I don't know if thats a good idea.... I've seen the effects of nitrox on Jenn and she's goofy enough without it :)
ETA- Whoops. Thought you meant N2O. I mean, yes, oxygen does make Jenn goofy. So does no oxygen. So does N2O.

N2O REALLY makes me goofy, though. Isn't that right, Batman?

welll geez...all 3 right by each other...I'm in trouble and already see myself drowning into even more debt! Wind tunnel, coffee, beer and snowboarding nearby,etc...oh boy...I'm gonna be broke when I come out to CO to visit.
One good thing...a good friend of mine just moved to CO so we got a place to stay while doing all of this so save some money for more play time... yay!
I'm with you Dawn...made a mental note that Mary loves coffee..so bring some for that chick..
Mary-you like cream and sugar or what?? :P

Hey Jenn, where are you from? And what are you doing for SkyVenture Colorado? I think all of us working there should coordinate who is bringing Mary her starbucks for each given day so that way we don't all bring her white chocolate mochas at the same time.

Don't forget the high octane margaritas across the street at Rio Grande. :D

Keep your stupid coffee. But that last bit just closed the deal. {{looking for march airline tickets}}

I am in the process of trying to find a new place to live right now. Whenever I am looking at apartments and houses online and see they are in Lone Tree, I think, "Hmm..."

You all know that I can't give away all my secrets about how I like my coffee and what kind. I guess you'll just have to figure it out by trial and error:P

One thing I can tell you, I like my cup of coffee with a good lid on it. More so when I wear a white sweater:ph34r:

It sounds like you are speaking from experience! :D
Care to share? :P

Of course I must ask about construction progress! Any big new developments? I almost took a plane up to check it out and take a few pics for this thread but the winds have been gusting to about 30-40KT over the last few days. :S

I was there about an hour ago, it looks like they're just putting the final touches on the exterior, from what I could see the interior had a ways to go though.

We're less than a month away from me never ever ever ever having a penny to my name, ever again:P

Great! We'll see you there.

Is any one else thinking that getting free tunnel time is kind of like a drug dealer giving you your first hit of drugs for free, just so you can test it out.

Dan, you might want to get a sign to hang around your neck;) This is just the beginning.

Considering Dan and I will be flying in another tunnel for a couple hours together for the next few days, I think he already knows what it is like to be hooked. We couldn't even wait until Colorado opened for a "hit" of air...

To late for him. And I.

Oh i've already had my share of tunnel time, I'm beyond addicted and regularly attend a support group, I flew in the Bragg tunnel during MFF, did an Airspeed camp in Orlando and flew with a friend in Perris. Then tomorrow like Travis mentioned we'll be on our way to Eloy for 3 hours this week;)

Just to keep this thread going, what does everyone think is most important deciding factor when picking which tunnel to spend your $$$?

A) good location (restaurants and stuff to do nearby)
B) state-of-the-art technology (constant temperature, etc.)
C) fun, passionate staff (awesome instructors, excellent customer service)

I figured it would be logical to post it here cause SkyVenture Colorado has all of the above! B|
(Also, definitely add something that's important to you but I left out.)

how much flight time I get for the money.. none of the rest matter to me at least..
and if there is restrictions on how many people can share a block of time, well, I frown on that. I figure if 15 of us want to share 15 minutes than we should be able to... with 4-6 of us in there at a time, that's PLENTY to go around and makes it very affordable!:)

Just off the top of my head I'm guessing that the reason there is that restriction is because of the number of people that the waiting area can hold in the SkyVenture chambers.

I don't have all the answers, as we haven't done any operations yet, but the aim for us is to fire up the tunnel in 1/2 hour blocks. If there was a group of 15 fliers that wanted to share 15 minutes and then I had another group of people that wanted to share 15 minutes, I'd be booking them in the same 1/2 block time. I just can't picture having 15 plus fliers sitting on the bench in the chamber waiting area.

But, from what I hear, if you sweet talk some one at SVC, they might be willing to try out your plan and see how it works;)
