WatchYourStep 0 #1 April 30, 2008 After the last poll I decided I'm going to get a helmet. I really like Bonehead stuff so should I get the Gunner or the Mindwarp? If you jump these what are the pros and cons? If you choose other please tell me what you jump and why. Thanks "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out." TheCaptain 2 #2 April 30, 2008 The cheapest one gets my vote. I use a EVO Z1 because I could buy it for $120. I really do not feel the EVO offers any real protection accept for riser strikes and noise reduction but it was the cheapest with a inside pocket for protrak. matthewcline 0 #4 April 30, 2008 I have used a Hurricane, then an aviator when some one used my 'cane for a wheel chock and soon will have a HR2. MattAn Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
AggieDave 6 #5 May 1, 2008 I have a Pimp Daddy Mindwarp that is well past its prime, but I just can't get rid of it. Its shaped too well and much too comfy. Maybe after another 2000+ jumps with this helmet I'll get another one. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." jvcvudu 0 #8 May 21, 2008 The simple Pro-Tec saved my skull in 05'. I now wear an Aviator. My personal feeling is that a freefly style, open face HARD helmet is the only way to go. This style provides protection for exits, etc. and also allows for easier conversation under canopy with my passengers.
