Freeflysmiley 2 #1 January 9, 2006 Hi, I'm taking a friend (English) out to Deland in March. If he does his AFF there, how does he/can he become a member of the BPA for his long-term jumping in England? Or will he be pernamently uspa even in England?-------------------------------------------------- Practise the 6 P's! --------------------------------------------------
riggerrob 643 #2 January 9, 2006 When your buddy returns to Britain, he has to prove to the BPA that he is "worthy." The fatter his logbook and the more video he can provide, the easier it will be for him to prove that he is "worthy."
daniel_owen_uk 0 #3 January 10, 2006 Whilst not an instructor (duh jump number), I have done AFF in the USA and am now back in Britain. It will vary depending on the dropzone and CCI that you see, but find out what AFF program they use, and make sure that you cover everything whilst in Deland (of course as well as what they cover in Delands AFF program). One difference between the US and UK AFF if level 8 (basically just a a hop n pop from 5k). Get as much video as you can and keep your log book up to date. Then just call the CCI before you visit, let them know you are coming and have a quick sit down (try on a weekday less busy) show video and stuff. Sort you BPA membership out, and get jumping __________________ BOOM Headshot
