Help with some TI course questions

Recommended Posts

Im about to start the TI course, but IM having some problems finding the answer to 3 questions on the RWS Test For The SIGMA Tandem Endorsement I was hoping someone here wouldn't mind helping me out.

1. what differences in the emergency procedures are there between the Vector II and Vectore III tandem rigs?

I believe the answer is none.

2. What would happen if the kill line were not attached to the #5 link at the top of the main deployment bag, or if the kill line would break during deployment?

3. What are the negative consequences of such an occurrence.

I have looked through the book for these answers, and I either can't find them, or I don't understand what I'm reading. Any help would be appreicated

Hey chuck, let me see if i remember, as I haven't jumped a vector two in four years. The difference also lies in how many main drogue releases you have (one or two). On the sigma they are interconnected, whereas on the vector II they are not. As far as cutting away, you need to know which system you have (skyhook, rsl, some older rigs have an extra lanyard to ensure both risers are released). So these are all inspections before the jump, so none is probably right.

The kill cord breaking...a harder(faster) than normal openning could occur since the drogue would not collapse (i have had this happen). Also, under canopy, there is a much more noticable drag from the drogue.

Hope this helps.

I am picking up your lens saturday, should ship it to you on monday.
