efs4ever 3 #1 April 8, 2005 Just wondering. We used to get golf carted back to the packing area, but now it's hoof it all the way. (Party maggots ruined the carts with after hour activity) Good exercise, though. How far to the plane? How do you get there?Russell M. AggieDave 6 #2 April 8, 2005 I'll walk to the plane and back after landing area as I need to. I would *like* to ride if I'm doing 10+ tandems a day, but I don't have to.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." skydiver30960 0 #3 April 8, 2005 At our landing area you COULD land right next to the hangar resulting in a very short jaunt to the packing area... but what with my liking my knees (and those of my passenger) where they are and all, I usually land a ways out in the landing area to avoid the rotors. It's a longer walk, but hey at least I AM walking... Elvisio "walk the walk" Rodriguez
Andrewwhyte 1 #4 April 8, 2005 What's this walk shit? When we're busy we run ~200 metres to the hangar ('course someone else picks up the rig).
bodypilot1 0 #5 April 8, 2005 How about 100ft to the hanger or to get on the next Otter. Be safe. Edwww.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
SkymonkeyONE 4 #6 April 8, 2005 Here at Raeford if it's breezy and you want to land out next to the windsock you are more than likely going to get picked up by someone in a golf cart. AFF and tandem students/tandem masters have a pretty good chance of getting a ride on a cart. If you land out, then someone will drive over and fetch you in a truck. Andrewwhyte 1 #10 April 8, 2005 Ohh wait, did you mean a metre? It is the unit of measurement for distance used everywhere except the US and Myanmar; nice company. It's easy to compute though, just take the length of one hectre that is square in shape and divide by one hundred.
