EricTheRed 0 #1 November 1, 2004 Just thought I’d share. This weekend I rode “front side” on a tandem with a good friend to help him qualify for his rating. He has one more non-paying jump to make before he’s qualified. When he asked me to go, I let him know I was planning some trickery. I played nice till he threw the drogue (Hey, I didn’t want to kill us both!) As soon as I felt the drogue toss I went into a hard right turn. We started spinning (he’s yelling “you f’r) and then he corrects the spin (good job). As soon as he regained control, I went hard into a left turn. More cursing and a quick correction. As soon as he had that under control, I went into a track and tried to get as close to head down as possible. I stopped the foolishness at 8 grand and let him relax for the important part. Under canopy, we both had a great laugh and a good landing. He’ll be a great instructor. Yep. I'm a bastard. But we had a great time.illegible usually
Brains 2 #2 November 1, 2004 Yup, funny stuff. Aggiedave did that to me on one of my recurrency dives i did. I was going through handle checks when he started a hard and fast right turn. I just let him go He's a lot bigger than me anyway. I plan on doing the same thing to another friend of mine who is going this month to get his rating. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
AggieDave 6 #3 November 1, 2004 I didn't hold it though, just popped it real hard and let it go. In my defense, I wasn't in a jumpsuit. You know, out of all the things my course director and my ride along bitches did to me while I was getting my TI rating, NOTHING compares to what real live students will pull sometimes. I wouldn't even think to try some of the things they've done to me.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
