Jumperpaula 0 #2 January 27, 2002 I get the 'WILLIES' after about two weeks. Like Lisa said, once you get there, check your gear, touch your handles 100 times and get your AROUSAL LEVEL under control. Just Skydive. You might wanna go through mal's in your mind. Think of each kind, what they look like, and what you would do. Don't forget to stand up your landing. Fly Your Slot !
PhreeZone 20 #3 January 27, 2002 JT, Check out the student manual on www.skydivecity.com and www.skydiveohio.com. That should get you up to speed on the mals, inplane emergencies, and all the little details again.I want to touch the sky, I want to fly so high ~ Sonique
skyhawk 2 #4 January 28, 2002 get your AROUSAL LEVEL under controlwhy is he doen a nude jump :)same as above also write down all the possible emergancys put them in a hat (or better yet get a mate to call them out) then do the physical actions you would do, just like when you where a student :) also with 100 jumps you should be right but try and land in the student area incase your flare isnt as good as it used to be :)on your first jump id look around stay on your belly find your cutaway and reserve handles a couple of times and do a couple of practice pulls cause that little ball might be a bitch to find :) after that have fun but dont get to involved cause you gotta find your way back. also id try and open about 3500 4000 (tell the dzso and ppl on load) so you can play around and get the fell for the canopy, risers, toggals etc and you can see where everone else lands :) and most important have fun, us aussies are great(o)(o)
jtval 0 #5 January 28, 2002 cool deal.thanks folks. here's my remedies for the suggestions.i've been watching breakaway (along with all my other skydiving vid's) religiously.i put my rig on everytime i pack the main. i try to do it once a week but on average about once every 3 weeks(slacking off i know but there arent many places that i trust pulling that thing out around here. so if our study room is full then i cant re-pack)i will be throwing at 5,500 just like a student. (i want pletny of time under canopy to play around and get used to the thuing again.or in a worse case time to fix or cut it away.and i'm planning on standing that thing up...even if i have to run 3 miles to do it. des 2 #6 January 28, 2002 if you have a cypres on your gear ,you will have very few problems jumping in oz.with -500 jumps you must have a cypres in australia. i am sorry, embarassed, disgusted, that this is the case.imho it's the only really bad thing the apf has done.except for this rule,oz is a great place to skydive.have fun.des
jtval 0 #7 January 28, 2002 i have a cypres. but what is the rule about a reserve repack?my gear only has 81 jumps on it so it is still in great condition. but my headache is about the repack. how much $$ on average does it cost.thanks, for the info i REALLY appreciate it.Have fun, LIVE FREE, SkydiveJT
