pchapman 279 #3 December 17, 2011 Black & rainbow, very nice! Looks like it is being sold by the widow of "Strange Dave" -- there's an obit for him in the "In Memory of" Forum this past August. She's got a few other canopies and rigs for sale too. Asking prices are high though. Edit: Strange was "strange" on dz.com, but only posted a handful of times over the years. He was still looking for parts for vintage gear as of last year. Too bad he didn't contribute more here after many years of rigging & jumping at the Gulch etc. There must have been a few stories. Krip 2 #7 December 19, 2011 QuoteMy first rig was a Starlite with a Starlite! Red, White and Blue. Don't you just miss the openings? Were the openings "Brisk"? The rig on Ebay looks sweet. To bad its over priced for a collection. R.
anj4de 0 #8 December 19, 2011 QuoteOne of my favourite canopies too. Looking at those pictures this is a canopy for "petite" people. But it for sure looks good! cheers UweFor once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return. -Leonardo da Vinci
fastphil 0 #9 December 19, 2011 I had a red one; it's a round with enough performance for CRW. Openings were a little brisk but I lived through several hundred of them. If I remember right mine came with a slider that I did away with. I also cut mine away on several occasions...

See sig line. Thanks for the link it was worth a lookee. In respect to daves widow I'm going to keep my mouth shut. I was hopeing the grim reaper ripcord handle was like Weird Waynes (rigger from eloy) he was on some kind of RW team that had the handles custom made for the team members. The handle on ebay looks different.R.I.P.
