howardwhite 6 #1 April 16, 2010 This is a box used to ship eight C-9 canopies (DOM Nov. 52) to Hill AFB from the Atlantic Parachute Company in Lowell, MA. Atlantic, formed in 1942, was a major supplier of military parachute in and after WWII. The American Textile History Museum in Lowell has an exhibit of parachutes -- unfortunately with a canopy draped over the tail of a Cessna 150. JohnRich 4 #2 April 16, 2010 Why do they have a display with a canopy draped over the tail of a Cessna? Are they trying to simulate a jump emergency?
howardwhite 6 #3 April 16, 2010 QuoteWhy do they have a display with a canopy draped over the tail of a Cessna? Because that's what their clueless "exhibit designer" decided to do with the canopy. HW

I don't understand it either??????
