bravoniner 0 #26 May 20, 2010 Shoot -- it couldn't have been a 60' housetrailer; that would have been HUGE! But it was long enough to pack two rounds indoors -- side-by-side -- even though we kept the kitchen pretty much intact.
bravoniner 0 #27 May 20, 2010 Sonofagun! It WAS a 60' trailer -- 12' X 60', to be exact. Doc Schwerin wrote it up in the April 1970 issue of PARACHUTIST. A few more names from the old PRV days: Bill Meise, Doug Schrady, Tom Vance, Steve Schimming and Tom Brissey. Bravo-Niner
lodestar 0 #28 May 21, 2010 Bingo..... Now I remember that quite well...moreso because of the cafe on the airport....my girlfriend at the time and I ate there. A year later she was cleaning out her purse and found a chicken leg from eating dinner at that cafe. It was like, petrified....but that funny thing made it stick in my memory banks.... Yes, Phil Goetsch and wife, Steve Duell, Ray Mahon and Bill B.....are all well known and part of that era..... I think we must have visited that DZ a few times back in the mid to late 60's...
