Skydiving in "The Goods"

Recommended Posts

The cause of skydiving in the mass media is further enhanced this week by the inclusion of a scene in "The Goods," a new Will Ferrell movie.:S
Note that the pilot of a King Air waves back at the jumper in the door of a Twin Otter. The jumper is wearing a back pack, which, remarkably, stays on. Among the things that falls out is a purple dildo.
Def on my weekend movie list.[:/]

From a web notice:

This is a new red-band clip from The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard, featuring Jeremy Piven, Gina Gershon, Will Ferrell, and a backpack full of dildos and lube. Also, Will Ferrell is dressed like Abe Lincoln. Though for some reason he’s sporting a mutton-chop-sideburns combo, which, although sweet, differs from Lincoln’s well-publicized preference for an Amish-style chin strap.

(In case you doubted my reportage.)

The photo "goods4.jpg" reminds me of a concealed rig that Jake Brake built a few years back.
It looked like a day-pack, but was only held on by Velcro. It was sewn to the main bridle, so when the stunt man tossed his main pilot chute, the (fake) day-pack tore off, revealing a regular skydiving rig.

Howard, I think I've solved the aircraft discongruity for you. The shots, both door and cockpit appear to be a Cessna Caravan.

+1 The fuel selector switch's and throtle lever and the dash look just like a caravan. I dont know if there are others that look just like that but this looks like a caravan!
Nothing opens like a Deere!

You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
