how tall was Georgia 'Tiny' Broadwick?

I'm wondering if anyone knows how tall Georgia Broadwick was? I have sometimes heard her described as only four feet tall--ie she'd be a dwarf or hobbit

I checked three different books I have on parachuting, all of which mention her. They are "Sky High Irvin", "The Silken Angels", and "Sport Parachuting". They all reference her as "diminutive", but none state her actual height. She was also only 15 years old at the time of her first jumps, so she would have been even smaller then her full-grown adult size.

Listed as 4' 1" and 80lbs when she started at 13 or 14 with a baby already. She may have been taller when she grew up.

Oh no Terry, she started jumping @ 15 yrs old and 5'2" and ended up 4'2" @ 80........ Ya know those old roundies they used way back then and how hard they landed and all that.

The picture of her with Bill Booth is mid/late 70's at Z-hills. I was there, and while she spent most of the time sitting in a chair in front of the old z-hills building signing logbooks, I would have guessed her at under 5', absolutely no more than 5'.

Like Crusty, I was there when she visited Z'hills. She was 4'11". Only a very few jumpers got her signature because her hands were so arthritic she had difficulty holding a pen. Whoever had brought her out to the drop zone (and I'm embarrassed I don't remember who that person was) asked me to make an announcement over the PA system not to ask her to sign their logbooks.

My wife met her at Elsinore in the late seventies and believes she was about 4' 10' or so. That's probably pretty close bsaed on the photo's and personal accounts.
