GreenLight 8 #1 May 1, 2009 My friend found this in the desert near Death Valley and we figured because it was in a military test drop area it may be part of some kind of rigging. Does anyone know what it is? We photographed both sides and left it where it was. There was a Hurcules in the area and I heard the British were training there earlier in the year. Maybe a disposable part of a drogue system or something?Green Light "Harry, why did you land all the way out there? Nobody else landed out there." "Your statement answered your question." skybill 22 #7 May 7, 2009 Hi Larry, Looks like some kinda' staging flap for a drogue or stabalizing chute for a heavy drop. Probably from China Lake?? Look at the binding tape turn on the right corner, whoever sewed it globbed it up!! ya' shoulda kept it. When I worked for Skurvy Irvin we packed up all kinds of stuff that got dumped out there and I'm sure there's still all kinds of flaps, pilot chutes, D-bags and what-all still out there!!!!SCR-2034, SCS-680 III%, Deli-out
