pilotdave 0 #1 January 2, 2009 Found this one in the archives. I don't think Howard White should be allowed to answer. He was probably there when it was taken! Dave
howardwhite 6 #2 January 2, 2009 I dunno who it is, but he sure looks cold and terrified. HW
kimemerson 7 #3 January 2, 2009 can't be very old. Those look like stainless 3-rings.
pilotdave 0 #4 January 2, 2009 Yeah but look at the faded colors and the graininess! It has to be old! Just kidding. It's Howard White... earlier today. Cold and terrified! Dave
howardwhite 6 #5 January 2, 2009 Never get in an airplane with Dave when, as almost always, he has a camera on his head. You'll end up on the web. (My inaugural 2009 skydive.) HW
pilotdave 0 #6 January 2, 2009 That was my first time wearing a camera helmet since November 9th! Actually that was just about my first skydiving related picture of 2009. You should be honored! Dave

howardwhite 6 #9 January 2, 2009 CPI, Ellington, CT. Four grand for $12.50. Pretty good deal. (I think that's the club member price.) Fun place to jump. A good view of Bradley International Airport on the way to altitude (and sometimes a good view of jets flying into Bradley.) And on a clear day (like yesterday) you can see both Hartford,CT and Springfield, MA. I sprayed a fair amount of fluffy snow on landing. Yes, Dave, I'm honored.HW
pilotdave 0 #10 January 2, 2009 We can see Jumptown (or at least the Quabbin Reservoir) to the north and Long Island to the south on a clear day. I've exited close enough to Bradley to land there if I wanted. Dave
jkbernstein 1 #11 January 3, 2009 Response from my old, cranky boyfriend (he'll say this in the kitchen, but for some reason didn't want to to post it): "Howard, you're old enough to remember when a 'good deal' was 4 bucks to 4 grand!"May the (relative) wind take your troubles away... howardwhite 6 #13 January 4, 2009 Tell Mr. Cranky my first jump course cost $35, too. I notice that the comments on this subject come from people who haven't paid for a jump lately.HW
jerry9461 0 #14 January 5, 2009 Mr. Cranky here - I would think that you would have more sense than to be jumping when there is snow on the ground, New Years Day or not. Maybe you can drag your wrinkled old butt down to GWNB in a few weeks. Hopefully a little warmer than Ellington!
