wdy_bnckr 0 #1 September 10, 2008 I know this thread has been around but I just found this picture taken by Bobby Frierson of me at Wings and Wheels in Santee, S.C. Museum belonged to Dolf Overton, Korean War Ace, and it took some talking for him to let us jump out of it. Anybody out there that use to jump there on the weekends. Free jumps! BillyVance 35 #2 September 11, 2008 Free jumps? You lucky bastard. I saw a Ford Tri-Motor at the '97 WFFC. I didn't have enough money to jump every specialty aircraft there that year, and that was one of two that I didn't get to jump. The 727 was the other. I did Super Connie and the Martin plane (forgot the #), as well as the Bell 412 helicopter and the Pitts Special."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

I didn't get to jump it but I did get to talk to the guys that restored and cared for them as I was a flight instructor on the ramp next to theirs. They'd stand around telling stories so I'd just walk up and then listen.Chris Schindler www.diverdriver.com ATP/D-19012 FB #4125

masterrigger1 2 #5 September 27, 2008 I actually rode in that airplane with my father and brother when I was about 8 years old. That was a cool museum! That is also where I saw R/C airplanes being flown for the first time. I got hooked on them after that!
