hasciutt 0 #2 March 15, 2008 I just thought you should know that the proportions are a little off for that copy of an F117A. I could tell you the difference, but then I would have to kill you. Hank
SkydiveJack 1 #3 March 15, 2008 I don't know the who but I think the plane is a prop for a movie. I think the name was Stealth.
ltdiver 3 #4 March 15, 2008 Night Hawk with you at the controls. I remember you telling the story, but please tell it again. Pretty please! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
ZigZagMarquis 9 #5 March 15, 2008 Sparky, That's you in a shitty mock-up of what I'd guess is supposed to be an F117.
SkydiveJack 1 #6 March 16, 2008 In the second photo there is what looks to be an air scoop on the top of the aircraft behind the cockpit. That's just not right for an F-117. The rest looks about right so I don't know what to think. BTW, did you guys know that the USAF is in the process of retiring all the F-117's? I'm serious. I'm guessing that the mock up was for a movie called Executive Decision, and the "air scoop" was really the "docking tube that allowed the assault force of 6 to 8 to board the 747 mid flight without anyone knowing. Too bad the docking tube failed at one point and killed Steven Seagal's character.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. mjosparky 4 #12 March 16, 2008 Damn, you guys are a tough crowd. It is a plywood mock up of the F-117 used for ground taxi scenes in a movie filmed at Norton Air Base in San Bernardino, CA. It is powered by a Chevy 350 with chain drive to the right main gear. I was teaching a USAR training course in the same hanger where it was being stored. During a break I slipped and fell into the cockpit. Before I could climb out a friend took a couple of pictures.Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
