Yea, Blevins will be back you can put a bet on that one. His posting about a phone call and the "threat" and to even suggest it is an active member of the thread or the DZ was totally uncalled for. He will stop at nothing to get media attentions for his book.

Wonder what the "person" said that made him think it might be someone from the thread? I tried to point out "others" who might have a bone to pick with him. If I could hear the message - I might be able to pick up on the voice if it was anyone connected past or present to the thread who I have communicated with by phone. Such as - Jerry or Sluggo.

Sluggo would never ever do anything like that...it is just not in his nature to behave that way.

Another past poster does come to mind - because I have in the past receive some explosive email from him and we all know he was very agitated with everyone here...sssshhh, we dare not say his name, but we all know who he is.

Jerry - why would he call anyone about Blevins book? No reason it would be Jerry, unless he has as you guys say has been pulling some silver.

Georger would never ever resort to such behaviour. He would just speak his piece right here on the thread ... because he loves his privacy just as I do. There are trusted individuals who do have my phone number as there are with Georger....but, I expect most of those communications are handled thru PM's, because he doesn't want us to know who he REALLY is. He would NOT risk this privacy to make a phone threat.

I got MAD at Sluggo and called him a couple of times about something leaving an angry message. Sluggo is NOT confrontal. He is a kind man who will deal with the problem in a short email, but not on the phone.

It is my feelings it was someone Blevin's has had dealings with from his "interviews" OR it didn't really happen or it was not in regards to Cooper.

Now, Robert99 watch what happens. Blevins cannot stand it and he will be back just as you said repeating more the same old stuff.

Obsessions with Cooper are like Blow Outs - a difficult Fire to control. I should know - Cooper has controlled my life for many yrs.

Cooper's spirit is grinning about all of this if there is really a place the soul or spirit goes after the human body dies. Our thoughts are energy - but does it die with the body? None of will know until the day we die and then we do not have a voice to say what has happened to us.

The mystery of life and one most handle with their religion of choice. Maybe those of us who do NOT believe in one specific faith are all doomed to burn in the Fires of Hell till the end of time.

I would gladly provide a company with any and all photos of Weber I have (most not made public), but the condition would be the authorities would have to use ALL of the composites known.

1.The Bing Crosby (I think I am the one who name it that).

2. The Ben Gazzara (commonly know as B).

3.The old Rose Composite never made public that I believe Sluggo dug up.

How did he extricate those OLD composites from the FBI as they were the most damaging to the FBI's position on Weber? Those old unused composites show exactly what I tried to describe about Duane and photos I did NOT use in the beginning because I had never seen that composite until Sluggo put it on the thread..yrs after the FBI had made their decision they sent in a letter in 1998.

When I first started my search all I had was the Bing Crosby composite - I didn't think it looked anything like Duane. The Ben Gazarra Composite I never saw until the FBI sent it to me AFTER they sent the letter in 1998 saying they did not believe Duane was Cooper..
All I had to go on was the things he showed me and told me and what I had held in my hands.

I had already met with the Forensic Artist and asked him to do a regression of Duane with the photos I had of him as a much older man because I did NOT have any pictures of Duane - prior to 1976. We only had the Bing Crosby composite at that time. It took a heavy hit on my savings - but I had to do it.

I will NEVER forget the day the Ben Gazarra composite duo arrived in the mail. My knees went out from under me and I collapsed in my yard.

A few months later Duane's former wife mailed me the picture made in 1970 of Duane standing in a brown suit.

I contacted the artist again for the third time. He met me at the Burger King on Nine Mile Rd....and as soon as he saw the Gazzara composite and reviewed the picture of Duane in the brown suit made in 1970 - there was NO doubt in his mind that Duane Weber was D.B.Cooper.

He told me this before seeing the Gazzara Composite and before seeing the 1970 brown suit shot the resemblance was very strong. His reaction on the DAY he viewed the 1970 Brown Suit photo along with the Gazzara composites was an unequivocal...response and the same given to Doug by an FBI artist. "You can't get any Closer than that"

The the FBI artist also states the strong resemblance verbally to Pasternac in an approx 2 hour interview along with a new detail. Since we had NOT seen the unused Rose composite this was NOT addressed in his article.

I had NOT seen the Rose Composite until it was posted on this thread...and then I knew beyond a thread of a doubt - Duane Weber was Dan Cooper.

I do NOT want to make my private photos public - but will do so to a facility that does this kind of work with a confidentiality agreement. I will put Duane up against any suspect the FBI has ever investigated.

I could soar with the eagles or be but a mocking bird chased by the mighty Hawk as his prey.

Back several pages ago - Bruce posted most of the photos from the album so you don't really need to post them again unless you want to.

You have to keep the size small and if you scanned it at a high jpg you will have to go to your photo program and reduce it.

Took me FOREVER to learn how to do this on the thread and I still have problems - at 70+ we just wing it. Someone on the thread will probably find the photos you are referring to and post them for you.

I have seen all of the photos and there is a general look in some of them, but for the most part certain things just were not there - at least for me. I am not the most objective person to be answering your post - but trying.

Besides Sheridan is still alive and should be able to speak for himself. It's my understanding from a past post the FBI did go see him and he willing provided DNA. I do not remember who posted it or what their source was.

I have alway wonder if Sheridan Petersen was related to Richard Peterson - also with a similar background. Richard Petersen was known as Paperlegs and Duane claimed to have known Paperlegs (of course I didn't even know who he was talking about) and then he went to see this man up in Wy where I learned the man had moved to when he retired.

I never forgot the discussion about Paperlegs nor the circumstances surrounding Duane's visit (alone) to the town Paperlegs was living in. When he got back he wanted to know if I had made any appointments because we had to leave early since there was a big storm coming in. We didn't get out in time and got caught in a white-out and deep snow. The last truck that came through (they closed the road) stopped because Duane immediately got on the CB telling them to watch for us and where we where off the road on a curve.

One truck came flying by and he radioed back our location and then another truch passed us, but the next one which was the last truck let through was going to stop and pick us up. The man decided to chance getting us out and back on the road.
We followed in his track all the way to Cheyenne. Duane kept telling him we were ok and we could still see him. The trucker couldn't see us and but he knew he couldn't stop or both the truck and our car would be stranded.

Duane told me if we where NOT behind the trucker when he got to Cheyenne they would send someone back for us.

I had never been so scared in my life - so how could I ever forget that venture. After Duane died in 1995 - I learn some more lessons about fear and in retrospect that memory pales to other memories I have experience along the road of life with Duane Weber (before and after his death).

I remember being terrified of freezing to death or having frost bite and loosing toes or fingers.
Duane handled this incident like he handled everything - very methodically and very calmly - careful NOT to get me worried.
He obviously knew exactly what to do under these circumstances.
He was cool, calm and collective except when he got MAD.

The distortions he made with his face on the rare occasions he exploded I will never forget, but these did NOT happen until he was facing the kidney machine and he knew it...the first rage I saw was in 1988, just before we moved to FL when he realized his life was finally winding down to the 5 yrs they had told him in 1970 or 1971. Less than 2 yrs later he started the kidney machine and after a while he mellowed out. The chemical imbalances according to a post Georger made caused the rages, but the Dr.s never explained this.

Up until 1988 - I had never seen him out of control or really very angry. Then from May of 1988 until February of 1990 - he did well and then it was "Machine Time". The 2 months after going on the machine where hell, but I survived it and so did he. If my life was going to depend on a machine I would have been mean and nasty too and so would you - but, then comes acceptance. He was very brave right up until the end and NEVER complained. He was a very good patienct and all of the dialysis staff love him. Duane gave them all EXPENSIVE gifts that last yr. The Dr. did not want to accept the gift Duane gave him - a set of gold Cross pens...the Dr. tried to give them back to him.

He tired to give me diamond earrings that Christmas and I refused to have my ears pierced and I don't know what he did with them or how he had the money to pay for them. I remember telling him to take them back and get his money back. He gave me a Sieko watch because I really needed one.

I did not know Bruce had posted the photos of Sheridan, but what I wanted to present to the forum is what was said under the photos. That may not have been posted by Bruce so I will just quote them here as I find them very interesting:

Bruce, May I add some additional insights that I have learned within the past month based on personal experience with wildfires.

The time to start preparing for an emergency evacuation is about three years before the need arises. Perhaps important paperwork could be scanned onto computer disks and those disks stored in safe deposit boxes.

Don't expect to get the word about an emergency evacuation before the fire gets to you. Actually, it was the smoke and ash that got to me before any word about an evacuation.

Thanks to a four lane divided highway on the other side of my rear property fence, the fire trucks were able to easily maneuver on the highway to keep the fire itself about 2 to 3 hundred feet from my house (and upwind at that).

However, the fire did burn some parts of the highway median and in at least one case made it across the highway into a weeded area but was contained by the fire fighters. But no one on my side of the highway lost any property to my knowledge.

The moral of this story is to plan ahead. When the smoke and fire starts is much to late.

It doesn't take a Brainiac to figure out I have absolutely NO motivation to make this up about the call, since anyone could contact the Festival office (Website: www.auburngoodoldays.com) and check it out. And if I were silly enough to promote a story like that, then they probably WOULD drop me from the program.

Jo, perhaps you should actually read what you think you are responding to. There was nothing about a call in the post I made. (I have no idea what call you are referring to anyway, either something discussed in the posts I missed while I was away, or mentioned by one of the two posters whose posts I currently generally don't read, or missed for some other reason.) And actually there are other females here ... Amazon, Vicki. Though, admittedly, neither of them have complained about other people writing 'nasty' posts to them and then gone to write vitriolic posts to others when they feel like it.

Since I had been told this in confidence by Geoffrey and did NOT know if it was true - I decided to hint at it until it was Confirmed and if he put it in an email to Bruce Smith then it is confirmed. I have known for several days. Seems to have happend about 2 months ago and was according to what he said caused by defective fridge - that was his word for refrigerator.

Go back and read the multiple post short and long I made for the last 4 days - it was a hard secret to keep.

I will agree with the caller about using the DZ to promote the book, but when he mentions pissing off a few higher-level investigators in the case - this gave me call to revisit some posts in my memory by a couple of the DZ posters who have been relative volitile with me by phone.

One of our posters boasts about his relationship with the FBI as does one of the writers. One individual claimed I was IMPEDING the investigation and repeatedly called me a liar and writer of fiction.

Another of the poster had a lot of really off the wall stuff about Duane and the FBI...He was not very happy about my position regarding his position and made that known on the thread and in private e-mails and on my regular email address. I saved them all.

I would be happy just to have the best suspects run against Duane Weber - and I mean using multiple pictures of all of the suspects or at least as many as can be found. Maybe there is a TV program or the FBI would be willing to do this - would make a good 40th BASH.

It looks to me like a Nylon ripstop C 9 military canopy form the 50s or 60s, but the people who posted the video said it was silk. It blew up on opening, resulting in a cutaway.

I do not think the alternating orange and white panel round military bailout canopies were EVER made of silk. I think they were all Nylon. Anybody else have an opinion? All the silk canopies I have seen were mono color white. The white Amboy canopy could have been silk or Nylon twill, I can't tell from the photo.

Nylon twill weave is often mischaracterized as silk by people who think all old canopies that were not ripstop weave must be silk.

I dont think the buried Amboy canopy was Cooper's, but I am surprised by the lack of follow up to determine its source. The serial number is readable and I'll bet that it could be traced. Perhpas it was a discarded car cover, but if it was a working chute deliberately buried that raises a lot of questions.

I hope Bruce gets to interview Cossey.

I have to say it was Highly Co-incidental. You had a Smiley accompaning the Burning Bush. I had told someone to go back and read my last few post and note the KEY words. I guess NO one got it. Geeze, I am a lousy writer, but this is the only place I "write" but it is not writing it is throwing things around and beating my brains out to get someone - anyone to listen.

I am that voice in the BOX and
Time is running out.

As for Blevins even hinting it was one of us and then of course certain individual will automatically point fingers at yours truely.

I have other suspects and now have added a 4th to the list - 5 including myself..

1. Blevins himself - to promote the book.

2. Someone who has searched the case for many yrs - who has been know to say the very things - Blevins hinted at in his posting of the call.

3. Another someone who we all know, but do not mention the name. His postings about all of this were very volitile.

4. Perhaps even a competitive writer who feels he has something to gain by being accused of calling the sponsors of the event during which Blevins is going to promote his book.

5. I have to add myself - but NOT QUILTY.

It was obvious Blevins had his own suspects - which included Georger, but I definitely closed that avenue for him. Georger like myself likes his privacy and we lead private lives - being active in all of this "crap", but stating our cause and why we think what we think. Each of us with our own reasons.


Oh! I guess I need to add 2 more suspects. Both of which are also writers of competive books about Cooper. No need to post the names - we know them both, but neither post in the thread...so I guess that might rule them out, since Blevins stated the caller referred to the DZ.

One of these writers reads the thread and the other does not use a computer.

It looks to me like a Nylon ripstop C 9 military canopy form the 50s or 60s, but the people who posted the video said it was silk. It blew up on opening, resulting in a cutaway.

I do not think the alternating orange and white panel round military bailout canopies were EVER made of silk. I think they were all Nylon. Anybody else have an opinion? All the silk canopies I have seen were mono color white. The white Amboy canopy could have been silk or Nylon twill, I can't tell from the photo.

Nylon twill weave is often mischaracterized as silk by people who think all old canopies that were not ripstop weave must be silk.

I dont think the buried Amboy canopy was Cooper's, but I am surprised by the lack of follow up to determine its source. The serial number is readable and I'll bet that it could be traced. Perhpas it was a discarded car cover, but if it was a working chute deliberately buried that raises a lot of questions.

I hope Bruce gets to interview Cossey.

Ok, I agree the FBI screwed that one up also - the FBI dropped the ball again. They did NOT do what should have been done regarding the Amboy chute! The FBI should have curbed that one when it happened....as you said it had a readable serial number.

They had a chance to end all of the speculation at that time and did nothing. Not enough knowledge or focus on the assigned cases or subject matters.

No, Jo. The edit was to clarify I figured out what the phone call was. Again: if you had bothered to read (or comprehend) what you were responding to you would know that I was not implying anything about a phone call.

And another leap of logic: I have nothing to apologise to you for. Perhaps you should rather consider apologising to me for going off on a rant accusing me of accusing you of something...just because you didn't read a post properly. (Which also means you can keep your lectures on reading posts and incorrect allusions to burning bushes to yourself.)

And you still do not seem to understand my aims with the photo idea, but I can't be bothered to explain it again.
