That set him off and he smarted back with "How would I know". He was baiting me to find out "What was Cooking" (this regards the D.B. Cooper story in process). Has absolutely nothing to do with REAL food other than in the sense of what is going on

Why was I laughing on the phone - This has become the Springer Show (never watch those things) and I figured Georger called you just to see how far you would go and you call me telling you the authorities were coming to arrest me . Think about the remarks said not in jest, but the mean and hurtful things you have said over the yrs Jerry - on the phone and on the forum. I believe that could be classified as Elder Abuse. This is why I was laughing - because you 2 guys have managed to take a wonderful thread and the opportunity to solve the crime and put it in the potty.

There is new information I have never been exposed to - that is what's cooking. This is something I read vague remarks about in my research, but didn't seem pausible and no one else thought it needed any further investigation.

Sluggo, do you know if the NWA 727 had a cabin rate of climb indicator or just a cabin differential pressure/altitude instrument? The rate instrument would fluctuate wildly with minor but abrupt changes in cabin pressure but the other would not.

AND..... now I'm wondering what they were seeing fluctuate. With the aft door (pressure barrier) open and the aft stairs open, the system would have been placed in "standby" by the pilots or it would have gone into standby automatically when they reached 10,000 feet.
The cabin pressure-altitude gauge only goes to 9,500 feet before it pegs. The only other gauge on that panel is the FE's altimeter.
Hmmmm, looks like a mystery to solve while Jerry Springer is on vacation.
Do you have Benson's system descriptions? If not, I'll send them.

Hmmmm. just as I thought Sluggo. Thanks so much for digging. I have a Continental 727 manual that shows no cabin climb rate instrument, but I didn't know if the NWA 727s were similarly configured.
NOT ONE of those 727-51 instruments would wildly fluctuate when flying unpressurized, even with a door rebound. That part of the story always struck me as untrue. Your ears would be a far more noticeable indicator of rapid pressure changes than any of those non rate sensitive barometric instruments. So why was it told that way? Journalist embellishment or did a cockpit crew member actually report it that way? Since the info is tied to Cooper's alleged exit point, it is important.
Let's use this Jerry Springer intermission to explore some of these inconsistencies around the exit estimate.
If it weren't for that darned money find we could have Cooper exiting far past the generally accepted area. Mr. Occam won't let me classify the money as a plant, but I have always smelled a rat in the particulars of the kid's choice of where to dig or smooth out the sand for a fire at Tena Bar. I suspect subtle parental coaching.
If only Snowmman would use this brief break in the noise level to opine here. I'd also love to hear from Safe.

You know we post and post and post, and it's actually kind of a shock to the system when we meet someone in person.
I buried all the cannon, hid the AKs, turned off the electric fences, got the crocs out of the moat, fed the dogs, and 377 stopped by the fort for an hour visit. He apparently made it back alive, I think only because he was smart enough to leave before it got dark.
He really is a great guy. There's only the faintest whiff of a lawyer off him.
We only had a short visit, and 377 is as much as an enigma to me as before.
BUT: I got this desire to embarass the hell out of him and get him hooked up. Maybe it's really me thinking about myself..but here goes:
377 needs some big jump.
You know what I mean?
He needs 3, or 20, guys to jabber at him about what they're all going to do that all sounds sane when they're in the bar together going over the details, but when they all go home alone, they sit in bed thinking "is this nuts? it seems doable. But people will think we're nuts. Maybe it is nuts and we just can't tell".
well not that bad, but you know what I mean? It's gotta have gear, some balls, some skill, some art. ....
I wanna see 377 get out there closer to the edge. Sure he's been jumping forever. All you guys have. But he's been too comfortable for too long (maybe that's a good thing when the other side of the coin is bouncing!). Hey the nice thing about being older is that it's not so bad if you go in? had a good life so far?
So who the hell is out there in Northern California? You gotta have some mad skillz cuz 377 ain't no slouch...If you're nuts you gotta be able to hide it enough to be slightly presentable..

Simmer down. About the only way this is a "threat" is if she actually knows something that she could in fact release to the public or police that puts you or your family at risk.
Knowing her history, how likely do you think that really is? Unless of course, you're in the witness protection program or something and somehow she knows your location.
