howardwhite 6 #1 December 29, 2007 Remember Luis Melendez -- one of the best of the early skydiving cameramen? See: http://www.havasunews.com/articles/2007/12/28/news/doc4775d61c6bf14457257827.txt Among his many achievements (stolen from Pat Works): "The first 10-man formation in skydiving history was achieved July 2, 1967 at Taft, north of Los Angeles, filmed by Luis Melendez and organized by Jerry Bird. The jumpers were Gary Young, John Rinard, Clark Fischer, Jim Dann, Jerry Bird, Bill Stage, Terry Ward, Bill Newell, Brian Williams and Paul Gorman (87 jumps!). JerryBaumchen 1,468 #2 December 29, 2007 Hi howard, Back in '67 I decided I wanted to get in touch with Luis about a camera mount. So I call INFORMATION and get a phone number. I give a call and some guy named Luis Melendez answers, but he is some old guy and says he gets a lot of calls for this 'skyjumper' guy. Cameron finally put me onto him.
