docjohn 0 #3 December 19, 2007 June 1964 until November 1975 Norm was Executive director, followed by Donald Beach. Off The Wind Line....With Norm was a great monthly feature. The last installment was in the October 75 issue. Looks like he didn't want to move to Washington DC when USPA left California. Krip 2 #4 December 19, 2007 Hi Doc Thanks for filling in the blanks I laid off for 10 yr's starting in 1975. No wonder norm declined the chance to relocate from Cali. to DC
NickDG 23 #5 December 19, 2007 Norm's opening article in every PARACHUTIST was called "On the Wind Line" or something like that, and it was always better than anything Needles ever wrote . . . NickD
Usetawuz 1 #6 December 19, 2007 I gotta agree. "Off The Windline" (next question: what is a windline?) was tidbits about members in general: who had stopped by PCA/USPA HQ; who had written recently; who was where, who had done what; etc. It fostered a real sense of belonging. Can't understand why Norm wouldn't want to move to the DC area, though _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!
