howardwhite 6 #1 October 26, 2007 These are screen grabs from a video compilation I received this week. The plane is pretty obvious , but where, when, who, and who did the video? HW

BillyVance 35 #4 October 26, 2007 I jumped that bird once at WFFC '97. Big and roomy inside, those 10 way speed stars out the smaller door are a bitch to do! ZigZagMarquis 9 #5 October 26, 2007 Quote I jumped that bird once at WFFC '97. Big and roomy inside, those 10 way speed stars out the smaller door are a bitch to do! Isn't the world record for a 10-way speed star like 6 seconds AND was done out of a small door Beech? Most of folk who have been jumping for 20 years or less have NO CLUE how to get a bunch of people out of a small door on a Beech or DC-3 quickly. stratostar 5 #8 October 27, 2007 Yea it's a requirement to stand in a tight line up for the door as the left engine is fired up, the front guys were to rub against the side of the AC for extra lube. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
Niki1 2 #9 October 27, 2007 The world record might be 0 or 1 second off a tailgate. The real record is 3 seconds (give or take a tenth) by Carl Daugherty's team in about '87(?).Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done. Zing 2 #10 October 28, 2007 I thought the Herd claimed a 2.6 second 10-way off a Skyvan around 1980-81 or so. Personally, I always thought pure 10-way speed stars should be done as no-show, no-grip, single file exits from a point a couple feet back from the door.Zing Lurks
