SCR SCS ETC Awards database

Recommended Posts

I have added a bunch of new records to the SCR, SCS, and NSCR databases on Bill's "Bob Buquor Memorial" web site.

There are still a number of gaps in the data, but Bill is busy working on getting those filled in (with some help).

If you haven't visited the site, you should check it out at: http://www.scr-awards.com/index.html

but Bill is busy working

I have know Bill for over 25 years and he has never been busy working on anything. :P

Bill, Tommy Owens's little brother.

Had to make a fix to your SCR (assuming it is 7494), some of the values were in the wrong fields. Bill probably did that intentionally since you've known him for so long ;)

Tommy, "Capt" Bill, and you are all the same Owens?

Yup, you're in the gaps.

In SCS, we are missing numbers 1713 to 7899 (this may not be the only gap).

In SCR, 7514 to 14299 have yet to be populated (again, may not be the only gap).

More than one person are converting the old paper notebooks and word processing documents to excel. I then export the excel to an intermediate format and import that to the sql database.

I'll leave a post here each time I input a new batch until we're done.

fuk.....ive fallen through the gaps........again. :o)

Yeah, you're still imortalized in the database though, just takes a little time to get everything converted and Bill wanted to get something out there so people could see how things will look.

I know he does a chunk every day and at least one other person is converting old paper records as well.
When he gets a big enough section done, he sends it to me for import.

There are more holes than that in the SCRs one too :(. I'm in the mid-6000's, and they go from 4784 to 6810. I'm in gaps for SCR and SCS...

Ok, I'll make the change.

As for where we'll be at any particular time, that has more to do with Bill and his helper(s) than me. I would email him.

Ok, I made the spelling change.

WARNING: Sometimes Bill sends me a whole new spreadsheet and I replace all the data in a table (like VSCR for example). There is a good chance the spelling would be wrong again, so keep an eye on it or email Bill and have him correct his master sheet.

I'm not appearing either. They quit just before my SCR 4820. That puts me in the gap, too. May I join you, Wendy? I'll let you see my gap if you let me see yours.

Everyone hang in there, the gaps WILL be closed!

Bill wanted to get the site up and running so decided to start things off with what was available at the time.

Thanks everyone for the positive comments. I'm very happy to have been able to help with this. It's a real stroll down memory lane to page through this stuff :)

Hard to believe that it's been 22 years since I earned NSCSA 80. It was about the 5th attempt of the night.

We took it a "little" low.

What great memories!!!
