eUrNiCc 0 #1 November 1, 2004 I've recently been pondering the origin of this interesting skydiving tradition. Does anybody know where it came from, or how it came to be in the world of late nite dropzone shennagians? Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age.

markd_nscr986 0 #3 November 1, 2004 Did it involve a 110 power source and an extension cord with 2 bare ends on it?Marc SCR 6046 SCS 3004

jbrasher 1 #6 November 2, 2004 I remember them from Elsinore in middle last 70's. But I'll bet it goes back further. Red, White and Blue Skies, John T. Brasher D-5166

justchrisdsp 0 #8 November 2, 2004 what we always do is take an extension cord, cut the protective rubber from around it and take two of the wires and shear them down to the metal, then take the metal and attach it to beer cans, then one person takes one beer can and another person takes another then you form the star by everyone holding hands, my favorite is the 2man star, hurts like hell but is reallly fun. my triceps muscle cramped up so bad that it hurt for a week. SkymonkeyONE 4 #9 November 4, 2004 I have been involved in them all the way down to two people, but the biggest "muscle pump" I actually enjoy is three-way. You, if you worked down to it, can take some very tight grips on a three-way and get incredibly pumped up. This is a very popular thing at CSS boogies. The timid need not apply. I have done this on two occasions. The first one involved beer cans. The second one used steel spoon handles. Those are easier to grip and you don't crumple them when applying the juice. Started out with 10 way stars and worked my way down to a 3 way star. Helluva buzz! The second time, I made it down to a 2 way, screaming my head off --YAAAAAAA!!! Of particular amusement were closing the loop by touching your finger on the other guy's or gal's forehead, or nipple. It's a freaking riot!! Can't wait til next time!
