SCR, SCS, NSCR.

Recommended Posts

The list is quite long and the majority of names are on paper. I developed the website a couple of years ago for Bill using Frontpage so he could learn to administer the site and update it on a regular basis himself.

He & I talked the other day about this again and he has started recording the vertical awards on soft copies. But the old SCR & nSCR names would take forever.

The vertical awardees will and are hosted at www.freeflyers.com

I E-mailed Bill a few years ago, shortly after I returned to jumping, with numerous questions concerning awards from the old days. He seems like a super nice guy, who is very willing to help. He said that he really enjoys visiting with old jumpers and talking about the old days......Steve1

What is amazing is some of the people with 2 digit numbers are still jumping.

And at least one person with a single-digit number is still jumping.

Three that I know of out of the first 8 way.

Hey! Watch it there, kid :-) :-)

Skratch SCR-16

What scares me is that I have jumped with 7 out of the first 8 and 9 out of the first 10. And I think they are all still alive, even Brian Williams, 73 I think.

Didn't USPA briefly take over administering the Star Crest awards back around 1980 or so ? Might they still have a list in some forgotten file cabinet ? Just an idea...

It just takes dedication. There are thousands of Freak Brothers, but someone took the time to put all the names into a database (see www.freak-brother.com)
