The Jumping Place gets the PAC-750 on 11/21/2009

I checked with the moderator before posting this as it's not any kind of advertisement and got permission.

I wanted to spread the word to everyone that The Jumping Place will no longer be restricited to the C-182 for the winter. Larry and Cathy confirmed and are flying the PAC-750 in on Saturday November 21st which they will have thru the winter. (Possibly until March). This is huge for a smaller DZ that have the people to fill the PAC. All skydivers are invited who would like to jump a turbine on the Florida-Georgia border right over the Atlantic Ocean right by Cumberland Island and Amelia Island. NICE. I can't make it up there this weekend because I have to work. But I'll be up next weekend for a visit. It's good to see Kathy's little dropzone is growing up.

I will tell you that we are already speaking to City Hall for Fernandina Beach and have almost struck a permit that would allow for beach jumps so long as we have ground crew and don't harm the ecology or cause harm to anyone. (those were their exact words from my last conversation with the police cheif's wife who is the event organizer for the city) Liability insurance is also required for us.

i have been wanting to do some beach jumps, and it would be nice to be able to do them in the same state i live.. can you update us if you get the permit to do somne beach jumps? i would defintly come down for that!

Hey... you know cathy.... She always sees the glass 1/2 full. That's a good thing. Oh and by the way, we have 3 spots left on this Saturday's sunrise load on the PAC if you can make it.
