I can only think of Sebastian, Florida... which offers both, skydiving and kite surfing within a short trip. Can anyone else suggest another DZ? THANKS!!!!!!!!! regulator 0 #2 March 18, 2009 You can always hit up Skydive Spaceland...the beach is only 25 minutes or so away and if one already has a kiteboard it should be good. However if the person you are referring to doesnt have a kiteboard and is looking to rent gear I dont know if there are any shops that stock stuff like that. txhoss 0 #6 March 18, 2009 HAWAII!!! We fly over kiteboarders all the time. The DZ allows camping so you have kiteboarding and jumping within 500 yards of each other. Winds are typically great for kiteboarding (North facing shore with 15ish MPH winds coming from NE or NNE. And its HAWAII!!! Have Rig will travel ... DSE 5 #10 March 18, 2009 Both Skydive Hawaii and Pacific Skydiving are right there, less than 100' apart. SDH flies a Caravan, Pacific has a PAC and a King 100. I think Pacific is flying the PAC most of the time. I'm sure someone who lives there can chime in. I'll be there next week, hoping for good weather. Winds have been very high lately, I guess. dqpacker 7 #11 March 19, 2009 Surfside is about 30 min away from Spaceland, I surf there. You can kite there but it's more of a surf spot. The Kite beach is in texas city on galviston bay. It is about 40 minutes from the dz. We have about 4 kiters on Staff here at Spaceland. Check with the guys at xlkites.com for any gear needs.
