Jessica 0 #1 October 27, 2002 I'm just dreaming here.... But if you could do either, which would you do? I've done a tunnel camp, and it was incredible, but it didn't teach me much about exits and other things. It was very removed from the reality of skydiving. On the other hand, at the tunnel camp I spent an hour and a half flying in 3 days. A skills camp is around 50 coached and videoed skydives in a week. Let's fantasize! If you could do any one kind of training, what would it be and why? Freeflyers and swoopers play too. There are tunnel camps and skills camps for your ilk as well. Skydiving is for cool people only
PhreeZone 20 #2 October 27, 2002 One of the cool things I've seen in Skills camps is you can get canopy coaching for a small increase in money...Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
BikerBabe 0 #3 October 27, 2002 I've done both. It really depends on your goals, I think. I did the skills camp first, and it really highlighted some problems I had with body flying, so I did the tunnel camp. I'm going back to a skills camp in a couple of weeks to see how it's paid off. I think if you really want to concentrate on body flight, the tunnel is the way to go. If you want to work on formation skydiving, then it's got to be a skills camp. They are really worth the money, and one 4-way with a top-notch coach across the formation from you will teach you more about eye-contact and cross-referencing than you would probably learn your entire skydiving career otherwise. I do the Airspeed camps, but there are plenty of others out there.Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!
