What to expect at boogies

Just wanted to know what to look forward to when visiting any boogie. I have never experienced one so when I get back from my deployment I plan to make a few jumps at my home DZ to get recurrent. Then I will go out and see whats out there and visit other DZ's. Any help will be appreciated.

"Boogie" can really vary ... from 50-75 people from a local area gathering together with one turbine aircraft, to several hundred jumpers with several planes and lots of activity. Both can be fun, just ask around (or search threads on DZ.com) to know what to expect when you get there (and so you can set your expectations appropriately). They're a lot of fun and a great way to meet skydivers outside of your local area.

There's not much nakedness at the boogies I go to. Either I go to the wrong boogies or I go to bed too early.

You go to bed to early. Then again you might go to the wrong boogies too. But for the record, theres good naked and then theres the other naked....

Good Naked= Best (un)Dressed Couch Girl
Bad Naked= any guy

Unlike your home DZ, people at boogies generally won't be looking out after you. So be prepared to handle your own safety needs, ask the right questions when you're unsure about things, know your limits, etc etc.

Expect a lot more traffic in the air.

Expect lots of booze, vendors, partying, new sights, interesting people and good times.
