Snowflake 0 #1 January 22, 2003 Where do you exit for tracking dives and why. The first few tracking dives I was on we left late approx 45 seconds after the last person exited and take a 45 degree angle of jump run. The last few we left early and took a 45 of jump run. I like leaving late for the reason that I get lots of vertical seperation from all the fun jumpers. On the other hand if you leave early there is the chance that you could run into a fun jumper, it would be real hard to do but it is possible. Thats the logic behind my choice I'm just wondering what factors I haven't considered
AndyMan 7 #2 January 22, 2003 It seems to me, that if trackers exit, fly 90 degrees off the jumprun for a good long time before turning 90 degrees again, it really doesn't matter where in the exit sequence they are. There will be so much horizontal separation, vertical separation caused by the exit order is meaningless. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead. quade 4 #3 January 22, 2003 Something we found out at Perris was that it works really well if airplanes decend on one side of jumprun and trackers and BirdMan jumps decend on the other side of jumprun. In our case, aircraft decend to the west and trackers decend to the east.BTW, see Sudsy tracking HERE.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
Snowflake 0 #4 January 22, 2003 So does that mean they are going last at a 90 to jump run?
quade 4 #5 January 22, 2003 Not always first OR last, but always east on a north to south or south to north jumprun.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
BoobieCootie 0 #6 January 22, 2003 UK's skydive mag had a pretty good article on that subject a few months back. Clicky here
