diablopilot 2 #2 August 17, 2006 Not only is the $315 fee for 9 jumps an unbelivievable fee to ask, but the $215 fee is nearly twice what it cost to register for an event at the past couple nationals. $530 for 9 jumps? The fact USPA is allowing this to happen is an outrage.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. Vertifly 0 #3 August 18, 2006 Will there be room to let fun jumpers swoop as well?
sharkins 0 #4 August 19, 2006 I was out at the event this past july. It was an incredible place to jump at and just be at. As long as you have the requirements to jump there, Do it! Good people and good times! Rumor around the DZ says that there will be an Otter too!

Vertifly 0 #7 August 21, 2006 It would be interesting to hear the break-down on why competitors have to spend so much. These may be helicopter jumps...wildwood...competition.. etc. etc.

These may be helicopter jumps...wildwood...competition.. etc. etc. because it is nationals. I don't have the money to go either. the only people that I know are going are the sponsored teams. raymod2 1 #9 August 21, 2006 I would have gone but the cost is ridiculous.
diablopilot 2 #10 August 22, 2006 The fees are set by the organizing DZ. In this case Crosskeys.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

Vertifly 0 #13 August 24, 2006 QuoteNow that all the whining is done, who's coming, can the excuses....add your name to the list... I've tried to get people to come to this event. Groups...sharing expenses...load organizing by ECFF...etc...and the other fun stufff...night life and rides and shit. Dude, very few people have the ability to afford the sport as is...and it seems to be a stretch for the hobbiests. I agree though, the year that I did go it was well worth the little extra funds to spend a weekend down at Wildwood and swoop on the beach - Labor Day kick ass demo. Shit man, people can be borinnnngggg!!! Too bad it is less appealing to the masses. Have fun out there!
diablopilot 2 #14 August 25, 2006 Paying a $25 boogie registration and fun jumping at $20 a pop is a lot different for $58+ hop and pops.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
sharkins 0 #15 August 27, 2006 Gonna be nice weather to be on the beach! Weather.com is posting Mostly Sunny as of today - Even if your not jumping - its still gonna be a good time.
firewendy 0 #16 August 28, 2006 That sounds like normal boogie prices, not so bad. Everyone probably got weathered out at the Ranch this past weekend so are they might be staying for Nationals...
