Looks like my Plan A on how to get to the DZ from Portland airport is out the window. So Plan B: Are there any local jumpers passing by or anyone else arriving in Portland Friday around 2:45pm that might be able to offer a ride? I swear I will have freshly bathed, be on my best behavior(no farting in the car) and you can have my bag of airline peanuts. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

For those of you who can't find a ride, you can take the Max train from the airport to a transfer station, then take a bus to "clackamas community college", and then take the (I think it's like southeast transit) small old person bus to the Safeway VERY close to the DZ. That will get you a mile from the party at least. Go here and you can get a trip planned out. Type in from PDX and to Clackamas community college. When you get to the college, you'll take the granny bus out to red neck-ville. Get off at the safeway 15 miles down the road.

Oh, and I'll be there too!

Hell, if they drop you off at the grocery store a mile from the DZ, you're set.. Buy your beer there then call the DZ and tell them you've got free beer and to send someone to come get you.

Sweet! Late afternoon arrival for me, I think. Work in the morning, swing by PDX to pick up some "cargo" and I'll be there once I fight afternoon traffic down to the DZ. Just look for the Tent Mahal (at least that's what everyone was calling it at LP).

I am going to stay at relatives on friday night after jumping fri afternoon and try to get some much needed family brownie points. Planning on being back at the DZ before 8 am on Sat, setting up my VW camper van looking for an early start to the jump day sat and sun.. Well if the beer is flowing and food is good, maybe not "so" early start on Sun morning..

Jumpers are arriving and setting up camp for the All of the Above Boogie weekend! We’ve gotten word our friends from California are on the way. And we’ve heard the weather is predicted to be fantastic! We are ready for a great weekend!



Friday – the drop zone will open at 9 ish for registration (don’t forget your USPA card and please make sure your reserve is in date). We’ll be ready to fly at 10 am!!



Saturday – Manifest will be open at 8 AM! Things will get busy early – check out the breakfast load plans below!



Sunday – Manifest opens at 9 for another round of jumping. [Manifest wants to party and hang out a bit Saturday night, too ;-) ]



We will have 10 jump Boogie Block tickets available for your convenience – valid for Fri – Sat – Sun (this weekend only). They are $210 cash or $220 cc/atm. Unused jumps are fully refundable or exchangeable for Blue Tickets at the end of the weekend. They can be shared and used the same as regular Blue Tickets.



Here’s a quick run down for this weekend:



Ø David Gershfeld and Bill “MX” Halsey will be organizing Freefly and Hybrid Dives



Ø Ed Pawlowski will be leading the Birdmen (and women)



Ø Jim Straight will be on hand Sat & Sun to organize “belly ways”



Ø PD Tour – Lots of demo canopies, including reserves for everyone to jump



Ø Saturday morning Breakfast load – Free breakfast for everyone on the 1st two Otters (wheels up at 8 AM and pre-manifested on Friday night)



Ø Saturday night BBQ – our neighbors, Rola and Candace will again be cooking dinner for everyone



Ø Beer, T-shirts, Video Reviews, Bonfires and more…
