Recommended Posts

The Registration Notice was released on Saturday, April 8, 2006 for the 2006 Texas POPS State Record Invitational to be held at Skydive Spaceland July 7th through July 9th, 2006. (The weekend before Skyfest.)

If you will be 40 or older by July 7th and would like to be considered for the team, please go to http://www.texasstaterecord.com and register. Your application will be reviewed by a team captain and you will be notified by email if you are selected for the team.

Minimum qualifications are at least 40 years old, 500 jumps or demonstrated flying ability, and a recommendation of a big way team captain. You must be a POPS member to participate in this event.

The cost of the event is $420 and includes 15 jumps. The flightline is a CASA and two Otters. The planned formation is a 70-way.

Team captains are Carey Peck, Tim Webb and Jim Alkek. If you have any questions or need any additional information, please contact any of the captains or Skydive Spaceland.

Come out to Spaceland and have a great time breaking the current Texas Record of 62. If you can stay for the week, Skyfest will start on July 12th (the Wednesday following the event). A new record and Skyfest! What more could you ask for?

Blues,

Gemini JimAlkek@yahoo.com

Blue skies,

Jim

just a little bump. Come on people get signed up. We need jumpers from SSM, Dallas, Temple, and all the other Texas dzs. If you're from out of state, we'll treat you right, but you have to say y'all and drink Shiner bock.

Blue skies,

Jim
