TomSpoon 4 #1 March 7, 2006 Ok, we've all seen John Elliot's thread trashing Frontier. I think we need a thread celebrating what great club Frontier is. Formed in 1960 by Brad Barter D477, Stan Zielinski D392, Bill Cawthard B226, Jim Lizzio D146 & Dean Verisco C2134 the club has somehow survived for 45 years and has evolved into a medium sized turbine drop zone. There are scores of people who have gotten their start in aviation at Frontier. I am one of them. Our club charter says we are to "promote sport parachuting" and that's what we do. Very well too I might add and it's great fun. Here's some old pics from the club. http://home.earthlink.net/~tspoond328/ http://www.frontierskydivers.com/
selbbub78 0 #2 March 7, 2006 I've never jumped at Frontier, but have been there. When I femured in 2004, i went to opening day, and what a blast I had!!! Everyone was so awesome, and so great, and I promised to be back once jumping again (sorry guys that i haven't come back sooner, but i will i promise)... it was such a great place, definitely a great place to visit! BigM 2 #3 March 7, 2006 I live in Georgia and I have been to Frontier, TWICE!!! It takes about 2 seconds there to start feeling like family there, and wishing this DZ was near you so you could jump it regularly. Keithmaj 0 #6 March 7, 2006 Frontier is an Awesome DZ! My wife and I both went through AFF there last summer, and have nothing but great things to say about the people! We really miss jumping there, (but we dont miss the Buffalo weather!). While we love our new home DZ Carolina Sky Sports, we'll never forget the great times and training we had at Froniter! We hope to see all our Frontier friends at the Batavia boogie! Anyone looking for a great DZ to train at in Western NY should definitely check out Frontier! Prices are really very comparable to any other turbine DZ. And to John Elliot... you get what you pay for, so go ahead and find your $1000 A license elsewhere... it's just your life Blue Skies!Keith "Jump to Live!"
