TrickyDicky 0 #5 February 7, 2006 What, no skyvan or jetranger this year? UK Skydiver for all your UK skydiving needs.
Adriandavies 0 #6 February 7, 2006 I think the Jetranger only seems to appear every other year at Boogie Two. The skyvan is more of a notable absence but hey there are two Caravans and Jan's lovely Beech99 to play with.

Adriandavies 0 #11 February 8, 2006 You'll need a B certificate before you can jump from a helicopter in the UK.

Adriandavies 0 #13 February 8, 2006 You know what? I've just looked through the BPA regs and I can't find anything in them about jumping from helicopters! So either I'm making this up or I've heard it somewhere but can't quote the source.
headsup 0 #14 February 9, 2006 I know a lot of people, me included who have jumped a jet ranger with an A certificate. Cant wait to jump one again. Not sure if Boogie 2 will have a jet ranger, have to wait and find out.
Dazzle 0 #15 February 12, 2006 Nicky has been flying the heli when it's been there before and seeing as he's moved in as CCI it could be there again, not heard anything official
nigelh 0 #16 February 13, 2006 You only need an 'A' Licence to jump Helicopters, So no AFF or Static Line from the Jetranger (boooo!) I'll be there! Woohoo!! headsup 0 #17 March 10, 2006 Hiya everyone, Quick update, Langar Boogie will now have even more aircraft. 2 Cessna Grand Caravans, a Beech 99 (the fastest jump plane in Europe) and a Skyvan. The Skyvan has now got uprated engines and 5 blade props, meaning it should be 2 minutes quicker than in years gone by!!! The lift capacity will be 218 people per hour, this is unheard for a UK boogie. If you are looking to jump in the UK between 29th April and 7th May, you have to come to Langar. Hope to see you all there!
