Where in New England to go for RW?

Recommended Posts

After coming back from WFFC and being on mostly 15-25 ways, I'm looking to get on similiar size RW loads in the New England area.. I don't mind doing some driving for it either. Do Orange and SNE have a good amount of RW flyers? Any other ideas? Thanks.

Now that the summer has been winding down we're getting bigger stuff at Orange cause tandems are fewer, but New England on a whole has had fewer experienced jumpers this year from conversations I've had with folks - maybe its the high jump prices (currently $24).

Best bet for larger RW is still Pepperell to my understanding - but we've got 4 way scrambles in Orange on Saturday and night jumps on Friday if thats your thing (Pepperell is also doing night jumps). I've consistently gotten on fun bigger stuff at CK but its a 6+ hour drive.

I'm seriously hoping next year is better [:/]

edit to add: thankfully for me there's a majority of RW at JTown. :$

Most of the area otter DZs have big ways at one time or another, with an added plane (usually a Casa) bumping up the fun factor!

I can't speak for other DZs, but in between events, Skydive New England nearly always has organized Wednesday RW jumping. The numbers aren't always as big as you're looking for, but they sure can be. PM me if you want me to find out which weekends and Wednesdays would look the best for you.

Blue skies!

PapaSmurf posts on here ocassionally Darren. I think his screenname/ID is.........papasmurf :P

His email is on there. Shoot him an email. If bigger ways are happening in New England this late in the season, he and Dr. Pete are either organizing them or a part of them, so either way, P. Smurf would know.

Hope that helps.
