Recommended Posts

Hi to all, was wondering if any one could give me some advice on where the best place for someone with 75 lobs and new to freefly could go in Sau Paulo Brazil to learn more keeping in mind that i only speak english and the communication barrier has been huge for me here. If any one could help I would be very grateful

http://www.cbpq.org.br seems to be off the air right now (it's the Brazilian skydiving association website).
That said, I think there are fairly large active clubs in Campinas and Boituva; this is the website for one of the Boituva clubs (there are several organizations at each drop zone).
Have fun!

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

Hey how's it going? My family lives in Sao Paulo and on the weekends they head to the interior to Itu. I've jumped a number of times at Boituva. Great planes, good freefliers, decent prices, friendly atmosphere and HUGE landing area, just make sure you land in the peas (they're wider than the runway)

Boituva actually has a number of schools all located on one DZ, so don't be suprised if you do a search and find 5 or more dz's listed in the same location.

My only other advice is, if you do jump at boituva, be sure not to miss your exit off the highway. I wasn't paying attention and ended up 20 miles off course before I could turn around and had to pay the toll twice.

Other places "near" sao paulo would be Campinas. They have a skyvan on the weekends and start early and usually have an early bird special where you get a jump free if you make 2 jumps before X time in the morning.

here are the 2 sites I always use when in Brazil:

http://www.paraquedismoboituva.com.br/ 75 miels west or so from S.P

http://www.azuldovento.com.br A couple hours west.

The other thing to do is go to a club in Itu called "Club Anzu". It's freaking amazing!!!

Let me know if you need anything else, I'll see if my parents or friends are around, they may be able to help as well

Pleasure. I am staying at the Amozonat Lodge doing a package deal camping and hiking in the jungle. When I go back to Manous I will be hanging around for twelve hours my flight to S P dosn´t leave until four in the morning.

I checked out the other site you posted, looks like my kind of place, I´m not sure if I got it right but I think I am going to be in time for gatecrasher? but then again I could be way off. I have to learn the language.

Thanks for the tips on where to go I have been told that a female traveling by herself here has to be crazy, then i tell them I jump out of planes and I think that confirms there remark.

You rock I definitely owe you a beer some day
