demoss99 0 #1 March 14, 2005 I am finally going off the reservation and going to visit another DZ. I will be going to Dallas in three weeks and would like to hear people's suggestions as to where to jump, and maybe some suggested contact people I should meet when I get there etc.... This will be the first time I've jumped at a DZ other than my home. I have all of my own gear etc.. so that is not the concern. What I am looking for is advice on how to best handle a visit to a new DZ and maybe some suggested contacts on who to talk to etc... in order to make this as smooth and fun visit as possible. I would love to avoid any stupid first timer or new jumper bonehead mistakes etc... Don't want to err for lack of information and planning. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Reginald 0 #5 March 14, 2005 Hey, just send me a PM. I'm a regular jumper at Skydive Dallas, the only turbine DZ in the Dallas area and would be happy to show you around. Being a low timer is not a problem at all, we have a good group of people for you to jump with and a large landing area. The only problem is the nearest beer store is 20 minutes away.
