efex 0 #1 November 5, 2004 Not only is the wind tunnel in Milton Keynes progressing, but the following just landed in my mailbox: Hi, A while ago you left your email to receive updates as to our tunnel development progress…. Firstly apologies for the lack of contact since that time, we encountered issues which led to the suspension of the project. Since then, we have redirected our efforts and joined forces with BodyFlying Zurich who is responsible for design and installation of many facilities including FlayAway in the US. With our new partners we are able to co-fund the development of the Bedford tunnel and work has resumed. So, we will be proceeding shortly with publicity / live webcams for site progress & marketing. Our opening date will be confirmed in the next 4 weeks when we have signed contracts with our suppliers etc. I am excited by the prospect of opening what will be a world leading facility, by far the largest and most powerful facility anywhere with a key focus on delivering quality and value to skydivers. We will be offering excellent block and repeat booking prices, and also intend to offer exclusively to reduced price pre-booked ‘trial’ times for the first couple of months on opening. I will endeavour to send out regular updates as we go through this busy stage!
